The Brunch Series: Sugar Cane

Brunch at Sugar Cane Raw Bar Grill!
Brunch is my favorite meal! It’s a late breakfast but early lunch and you can drink too!?  I’m in! What better way to begin your lazy saturday or sunday than a flowy maxi dress, some coffee, mimosas and good ol’ fashioned yummy food!  
Recently, we went to Sugarcane, one of my fave places for duck and waffles and had a great meal! Sugar Cane never disappoints! 
Mimosas were first on our list followed by these amazing goat cheese croquettes with membrillo marmalade. The membrillo marmalade paired perfectly with the croquettes to add a touch of sweetness to the cheese.  I even ordered more marmalade- I’m crazy about sauces and such 🙂
My main dish was the truffled toad in the hole brioche with melting robiola. Amazing! This aint no ordinary toad in a hole or as I call it, egg in a nest. This is definitely the upgraded version. The brioche bread was thick and toasted perfectly. The truffles on top with the melted cheese added a rich flavor and when enjoyed altogether it was heaven!

The 3 eggs any style was of course delicious as well for those looking for a more protein packed, balanced meal.   Including a side of fruit, toast, yukon gold potatoes, and smoked bacon.  How could you go wrong?!?
The beef short ribs korean style were super tasty! Just the right amount of sweet and savory and smokey flavors.  
Any meal at Sugar Cane is sure to be a hit, even if you’ve been here, why not go back and try other menu items! Not to mention their crafty drinks.  Enjoy!
