If you’re traveling to Laguna Beach, CA you cannot miss out on Hotel Laguna. Whether you stay here or not, a visit to this landmark is a must. It was built in 1930 right on Main Beach and a coveted spot by old hollywood. It’s become a tradition of mine to have lunch at the restaurant in the Hotel called OceanView Bar and Grill. The restaurant is towards the back of the hotel and perched right above the sands of Main Beach offering the best views of the Southern Californian coast. It really is a very nice spot to have a tasty lunch while enjoying the views.
I first sat down on their upper level by the glass and then moved towards the center a bit because it was too sunny. But, honestly, anywhere you sit in this restaurant is a safe bet! I opted for something vegetarian on their menu and chose their Roasted Vegetable Sandwich and was blown away! It had oven-roasted yellow and green zucchini, red bell peppers, portabella mushrooms, balsamic glaze, and herbed goat cheese on toasted ciabatta. For my side, I chose an arugula salad with balsamic vinaigrette. Paired with a glass of Hess Chardonnay, it was the perfect lunch.
