Brunch at Burlock Coast – Ft. Lauderdale

Brunch is pretty much my favorite meal for so many reasons.  You can eat savory and sweet items whether it be an amazing omelette or french toast, adding eggs to any dish is totally acceptable as well as having brunch dessert and of course being able to sip back mimosas! So you can only imagine I was really excited to try the new brunch menu at Burlock Coast.

I honestly enjoyed each brunch item; they were all so different and tasty! I really liked the huevos rancheros because it had so many different flavors and textures all served on a crispy tortilla.  The ahi tuna on the nicoise salad was a standout to me because it was so fresh and such a nice alternative to salmon.  For dessert, I loved the key lime pie! The crust was amazing and it was interesting to find not only the creaminess of the fresh whipped cream on top but also the crunchiness from the toasted meringue which was a nice play on textures.  Keep reading for more pics and details!! Spoiler alert: rum punch ingredients are below!

I definitely can’t forget to mention the drinks available at brunch.  Their bottomless drinks include mimosas (so good!), bloody marys, rum punch (the star!) and BC bootlager.  The rum punch was a hit, so much so, I requested the ingredients! What was different about this rum punch was that it was nicely balanced and not too sweet at all.  The rum punch is made with: light gold rum, orange liquor (triple sec), dram spiced rum, pineapple juice, coconut water, O.J., and sugar to taste (you’re welcome!).  😉

After our brunch it was time for our pool day so we made our way through the lobby areas only to find an “adult” lemonade stand on the way!

Loved the details around the hotel like this sign at the pool deck!

Burlock Coast is inside the Ritz Carlton in Fort Lauderdale right on the coast!  It’s actually a restaurant, cafe, market and bar all-in-one.  After our brunch and pool day we took a walk around the restaurant to find the market and cafe.  I was really surprised at the nice market they offer to guests and visitors; it includes a coffee bar brewing Panther Coffee (you know I grabbed a coffee on the way out! ;)), has quick take-away items like sandwiches, croissants and much more!
