Opened in March 2014, Earl’s Kitchen + Bar joins the likes of Bobby’s Burger Palace, Balans, & Texas de Brazil in Dadeland Mall’s terrace dining area. This night was actually my second time at Earl’s but a very different experience as we were invited to try a selection of Earl’s new offerings as well as tried and true favorites.
We arrived early in the evening and sat at our table just as the sun was beginning to set which gave the restaurant a whole new vibe. Its open plan with a large lounge area, bar and views of the terrace really made it feel open and bright. I immediately forgot I was in a mall!

We started off with a selection of their cocktails (pictured below as well). My favorite of the night was the Marilyn Monroe and it first caught my eye because it has passion fruit and prosecco- some of my favorite ingredients!

Our first dish, the warm kale salad, left an impression on all of us! By the end of the meal we were still talking about how good this salad was!

Next to the salad, the Bibimbap was another favorite of mine. I learned that Earl’s actually incorporates a lot of variety and dishes from different cultures into their menu. You’ll see below even more variety and even Steak & Sushi in one plate.

The main dishes were so flavorful I didn’t expect anything less from the desserts! My top two picks for dessert are the Golden Digger and the Skillet Cookie. The sampling of the Golden Digger had a scoop of vanilla ice cream nestled in a custom made toffee basket/cone. I would’ve liked another toffee cone by itself- it was the best part! The skillet cookie was delicious since it’s served just out of the oven with gooey marshmallow, chocolate shavings and vanilla ice cream on top.
Earl’s has so much variety on its menu that you really can’t go wrong. You can come in for a meal or escape the shopping madness and have a Marilyn ;).
