Chef Sucre Café

Chef Sucre Café – a petit café serving up big flavor! Sucre Café is a hidden gem on Biltmore Way in the Gables.  It’s lovingly owned & managed by Chef Antonio Sucre & Lisandra Alvarez and the minute you walk into the space you can definitely sense that! The walls of the café are adorned with murals of their story and sweet sayings that give the space an inviting & relaxing vibe.  I’ve been here a few times, for breakfast and lunch and it has always been delicious. They change their specials on a daily basis and focus on healthy offerings as well as comfort foods like their famous Croque Madame 🙂 img_8359

Foamy Lattes!

Avocado Toast: Avocado, tomato slices, olive oil & balsamic glaze on toasty artisan bread 🙂

For breakfast we split their infamous Croque Madame! It was so delicious! With Swiss & Gruyere cheese, ham & Bechamel sauce.

Sucre features special menu items all the time and on this visit we were lucky enough to try their guava & cheese waffle!!

Love all of the murals and art work throughout the cafe!
I actually had the chance to pass by Sucre during lunch on a cool, rainy day and this meal definitely hit the spot. I had their vegan split pea soup and a side of their farmer salad with spinach, sun dried tomatoes, almond slices, goat cheese & apple pieces. It was such a nice & delicious lunch break.
And of course I had to grab a coffee on the way out! 😉

Love this charming café! It is definitely a nice retreat for breakfast, lunch or brunch!  They’re open M-F from 8am-4:30pm and on Saturdays from 8am-2pm.
